The current editor of IJMES is Akram Khater, professor of history at North Carolina State University and Director of the Khayrallah Center for Lebanese Diaspora Studies at NCSU. During his tenure (July 2014-June 2019), the IJMES editorial office resides at NCSU.

MESA membership includes a subscription to IJMES, which has a worldwide circulation of 3,700.
